The downstairs family left town for Thanksgiving on Tuesday morning. I was only home on Tuesday evening, but it was still nice to not have anyone yelling or running or stomping down below. They left poor Cooper outside all week alone, though. Bless his little doggy heart. At least it warmed up on Thursday. I'm not sure when they returned exactly, but they were back last night when I got home. Is it bad that I was almost sad they were here? I should probably feel terrible for that, but I don't. Oops.
I woke up this morning not feeling well, so instead of going to church today I stayed home and finished Gilmore Girls:A year in the life. Which was basically a waste of an entire day, but whatever. Dad must have worked outside all day. I know this because all of a sudden, during a heated moment of a Gilmore gabfest, someone fired up a chainsaw outside which completely drowned out my TV. Then, someone started chopping wood. Then went back to the chainsaw. And then back to the chopping. Over and over and over again until well past dark. I am assuming that he was chopping firewood, but can we get real for a second? We live in Georgia. It was 75 degrees on Thanksgiving. Does anyone need THAT much firewood? I'm pretty sure he chopped enough for the entire street to use. This winter and next!
The boys were {mostly} quiet today, with the exception of some mild screaming and crying this morning and then a burping contest this afternoon.
Mom was only heard through her heavy stomping, as usual. She did cook three meals today, though. I know because I could smell all of them as I sat on my couch and had chicken noodle soup. Because sick.
I am hoping that Christmas decorating starts soon. I can only imagine what happens around here for Christmas after seeing the Halloween display!
