Well hello! It's been a while since I've had time to sit down and think about forming sentences that make sense. Work has been more than overwhelming since July so everything else in my life has taken a major back seat lately. Thankfully, things have calmed down just the slightest and I can finally breathe again. Which is great timing since I've been dying to write about the latest shenanigans happening downstairs.
I've been traveling a lot for work lately.Generally speaking. I'm gone for a week at the time. The first week
I went to Boone was in August and while I was gone the batteries in my smoke detector died. Dad texted me to ask if he could change the batteries because the smoke detector was "chirping."
1. Why ask? I'm obviously not home and I'm obviously not going to say no.
2. Who says chirping in regards to a smoke detector?!
In September I went back to Boone and was gone while I was supposed to pay rent. I completely forgot to leave my rent check in the mailbox before I left and of course Dad texted to ask if I was traveling again that week. Thankfully, he said it was fine that I gave him the check when I got back and didn't kick me out of the house. What I really want to know is why don't they have Venmo so I won't have to worry about writing a check every month. Maybe I'll suggest it.
A couple weeks ago, Dad forgot to take the trash cans to the road on Tuesday morning. He texted me and asked if I would roll them out there before I left for work. I told him I would and his response was "You the bestest." I don't even have words for that.
As if you couldn't already tell, life upstairs is most entertaining!
